Compassionate friends - Annual Gatering

FIy-q78WQAEPnjp
The Compassionate Friends is originally founded by Rev. Simon Stephens of England in 1969. The first TCF Chapter in South Africa; was founded in Johannesburg in 1983. There are currently 11 Main Chapters – Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Durban, East London, George, Johannesburg, Kimberley, Queenstown, Port Elizabeth, Somerset West, and Wellington. Then there are 23 smaller support groups across South Africa in all provinces.

We are a non-denominational organization offering friendship, love, and understanding to bereaved parents, siblings & grandparents. We provide a safe environment, as well as promote a positive resolution of grief, through our willingness to listen and share our stories, endeavouring to uplift encourage, inspire, and give one another hope on this very excruciating painful life journey. Our creed being: “You need not walk alone”.

There is a great need for this support in our communities and we are raising funds to enable us to provide reading materials, food parcels (in the case where a child was a breadwinner), petrol, a safe environment for gatherings, as well as having functions like our National Annual Gathering (held once a year in different provinces), and other activities and guest speakers, that assist our members on their healing journey after the loss of their child.
We have featured on our local community Radio Stations i.e.; Radio Luister FM 90.6, P.E. FM87.6, and Kingfisher FM103.8 in order to promote our cause. We will be having our Annual National Gathering from the 27th of October 2023 to the 29th of October 2023 in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, this year and endeavour to take as many grieving/bereaved parents, siblings, and grandparents with as possible.
Would you be willing to contribute towards our cause, and in honour of our children/babies who have passed? As a token of our appreciation, we will feature an advert of your choice, of your business in our monthly newsletter as well as on our social media pages.
