as in the days of noah by stella ashworth
One of the greatest signs that we are living in the last days is the rise of sexual immorality. The Bible warns that in the end times, people will abandon God’s design for purity and embrace sinful desires. Jesus Himself declared, "As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be also in the days of the Son of Man." (Luke 17:26)
Before the flood, the earth was filled with corruption and moral decay (Genesis 6:5).
Likewise, the Apostle Paul prophesied: "But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power." (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
Sexual immorality, in particular, is a clear sign of rebellion against God. Romans 1:24-27 describes how people who reject God are given over to their sinful desires, dishonoring their bodies and exchanging the truth for a lie.
Yet, in the midst of this darkness, God calls His people to holiness: "Flee from sexual immorality... You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies." (1 Corinthians 6:18-20)
As we witness the increasing normalization of sin, we must stay rooted in Christ, standing firm in truth, and shining as lights in a dark world.
For the return of the Lord is near!
