A Sacred Pause Between Then and Now
As we stand on the eve of a new year, our hearts naturally look both backward and forward. We remember the moments that shaped us, the victories that strengthened us and the challenges that humbled us.
We sift through memories, longing to carry forward what was good and to lay down what weighed us down. Like many, we begin to form new resolutions, hoping this year will be different, better, more purposeful.
Yet before us lies uncertainty. We do not know what tomorrow holds, what storms may come, or what doors may open. But even in the unknown, we are not without hope.
Faith Rooted Beyond Circumstances
Our confidence is not anchored in perfect plans or predictable outcomes. Our faith is rooted in the unchanging nature of God, He who already knows tomorrow and grants us grace to live one moment at a time.
Because Christ lives, we are not ruled by fear. We are empowered to face whatever lies ahead with courage, peace, and assurance.
Storms may arise. Trials and tribulations may test us. But our faith does not stand on circumstances, it stands on who God is. He is faithful when life is uncertain, constant when the world is shifting, and present in every step we take.
Laying Our Plans at His Feet
As we enter a new year, we are called to submit our plans, hopes, and dreams before the Lord. Not merely asking Him to bless our agendas, but surrendering our lives fully into His hands.
Everything we do should be done in His Name, for His glory, and according to His will. This is a season to recommit, our time, our priorities, our hearts.
Life is fleeting, and time waits for no one. Therefore, let us live intentionally, moment by moment, wrapped in the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Living Fully, One Grace-Filled Moment at a Time
The new year is not promised to be easy, but it is promised to be held in God’s hands. Walk forward with faith. Live fully. Love deeply. Trust completely. And let every breath be an act of worship to the One who gives life, hope, and purpose.
Proverbs 16:3 “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.”
Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Lamentations 3:22–23 “Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.”
My dear beloved in Christ, we might not know what tomorrow will bring, but our confidence does not rest in our tomorrows, it rests in the One who holds our yesterday, our today, and our forever.
He is sovereign over time and faithful in every season. Therefore, live life courageously and boldly, one day at a time, fully trusting Him. Let your life speak louder than words.
Let it be a living testimony of the grace, power, and love of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
