Amir tsarfati - extraordinary man of god
On 21 July, Team Talk met with the Behold Israel Team at the Paxton Hotel in Port Elizabeth during their South African Tour, Awaiting His Return. We invited local pastors to an Q & A with Amir, Barry Stagner and Mike Golay.
Amir Tsarfati is no stranger to the Christian Community. Some local Christians have been following his live updates about Israel and Middle East for over 15 years. He is the founder and president of Behold Israel, a non-profit organization that provides real-time access to news about Israel from within the context of Bible history and prophecy.
I was first introduced to Amir Tsarfati’s teachings about 15 months ago after moving over to Lorraine Full Gospel Church in Port Elizabeth. I started to listen to Amir’s online teachings and Q & A’s about the Rapture, Bible Prophecies and Israel. I was amazed at his understanding of the Word of God.
His passion for the Word of God is remarkable and God’s anointing on Amir is extremely visible. He is no ordinary man, but extremely intelligent.
He joined the Israel army in 1990. He served nearly a year in the IDF Armored Corps and was later stationed in Jericho.
When the peace process began and Jericho was the first city transferred to the Palestinian Authority, Amir, then 21, was appointed as active Deputy Governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley, also becoming one of Israel’s military negotiators with the Palestinians. As a respected authority on Israel, the Middle East and Bible prophecy, Amir Tsarfati has seen his ministry expand globally over the last decade.
Since 2004, Amir has been consultant to various law enforcement agencies and seminars on homeland-security issues. In 2008 he was the keynote speaker at the Hostage Negotiators Conference on the topic of terrorism.
Born in Israel, Amir has been the CEO of Sar El Tours and Conferences and a chief tour guide in Israel for twenty years. He is the author of many Christian Books, such as The Last Hour, The Day Approaching, Israel and the Church and most recently, Revealing Revelation.
South Africans filled up the venues to the "Awaiting His Return" Bible Conferences. Amir and the Behold Israel team brought so much light into the hearts of fellow believers. When I first met Amir, I confess that I was nervous, but he has a way of making you feel at ease with him, with a willingness to meet you halfway. After a few minutes with him in the conference room before it started to fill up, I had a deep sense of peace while I silently observed this remarkable man.
What moved me deeply during our morning together, was the way that he treated people and how he acknowledged them. Hilton, an elderly Messianic Jew who joined in our Q & A’s, shared parts of his story with Amir. For Hilton, this meant the world. He later shared their chat with me and called Amir “his brother”.
I can share many moments with you, but I am sure those who attended the conferences can affirm the power of his heartfelt ministry.
Amir Tsarfati, Barry Stagner and Mike Golay can easily be called "the 3 wise men”. They have an ocean of Godly wisdom within them. Barry is the Pastor at Calvary Chapel Tustin in Southern California and Mike is the Director of Operations of Behold Israel. Before this, Mike was the Lead Pastor of Friendship Church in Shakopee, Minnesota, for 17 years.
These 3 men are not only extraordinary men of God, but brothers in Christ, family men and the salt of the earth. I can understand why God chose these men for His purposes. They travel the world together and share messages of hope, truth and revelation during times, where not just the church of Jesus Christ, but the whole world, needs to hear it.
When I was granted an interview for Team Talk with Amir, I thought about a million ways I wanted to do it. Then I became still and gave this gift back to God. It wasn’t about my time with Amir or to ask this extraordinary man of God a bunch of repeated questions, but it was about bringing a small group of people together and allowing God to do the rest.
