Louwtjie kilian: born for such a time as this
Pastor Louwtjie Kilian is a man after God’s own heart—a man set apart for a time such as this. I am honored to testify about this man, whose boldness in teaching the Word has touched lives in ways few are willing to do.
On August 28, 2020, I left my home in Humewood, Port Elizabeth, and drove to Lorraine Full Gospel Church to attend Pastor Louwtjie Kilian’s service. It was one of the first churches to reopen after the lockdown. During that period, I had been following Pastor Kilian’s teachings on Facebook and was deeply moved by the way he led his congregation through the challenges of Covid.
His willingness to address difficult Biblical truths, while many others chose to avoid them, was admirable. In a time of fear and uncertainty, when countless questions filled the hearts of many, Pastor Kilian stood as a beacon of light in the heart of Port Elizabeth. I vividly remember sitting in my car before the service, praying to God: “I don’t know why You led me here, but whatever it is, here I am. Teach me and show me.”
As I approached the entrance, Pastor Louwtjie stepped outside to greet me. His gentle voice and warm smile, hidden behind a beard, welcomed me with open arms. The Apostle Paul often spoke of feeling like a stranger in foreign lands, but that day, I felt as though I had come home. As others gathered for the service, I watched this remarkable pastor closely. He wore what appeared to be an oversized jacket—and to this day, I believe it was to accommodate the size of his heart. The love and compassion he showed for others were truly overwhelming.
Reflecting on my three-year journey under his ministry, I have gained deep insights into the Word of God. I have grown in my understanding of the Holy Spirit, End Times, and the Rapture. The teachings I have received, inspired by the Holy Spirit, are invaluable treasures.
Pastor Louwtjie is widely known for his passion for End Times preaching and his unwavering love for Israel. Alongside his wife, Renee Joy Kilian, they have traveled to Israel nearly 50 times. As a couple in ministry, they excel in fulfilling the calling God has placed upon their lives. I hold the deepest love, respect, and admiration for Pastor Louwtjie and Renee. Their humble service, even in the face of personal trials, reflects their wholehearted devotion to God. Louwtjie Kilian is an extraordinary servant of God—a man unafraid to stand boldly for the truth. He speaks what God commands, not merely what people wish to hear.
In my view, he is one of the greatest preachers of our time, and I salute him for his steadfastness.
I wish to personally thank Pastor Louwtjie for his unwavering commitment and the invaluable lessons he has imparted to me. Louwtjie and Renee are precious, like rare gems, strategically placed by God for this moment in history.
As I reflect on my faith journey over the past three years, I now fully understand why the Holy Spirit led me to this church. Thank you, Pastor Louwtjie, for everything you have done to strengthen my relationship with the Holy Spirit.
For this article, I also reached out to others who know Pastor Louwtjie Kilian, and I look forward to sharing their thoughts and reflections on what he means to them.
“Ps Louwtjie & Renee to me is my spiritual parents. They have picked me up and introduced me to Jesus. They never give up "tilling the soil" through the power of the Holy Spirit and their teaching and true revelation of the Word. I can stand today as a true born-again believer, having them as a pillar of strength to guide and teach me, as I tell the youth about having a relationship with Jesus, as a mirror reflecting the true Gospel invested in me. Lorraine Full Gospel Church Youth today, are harvesting from the ground of which Ps Louwtjie & Renee planted in me from tilling and watering the soil. The spiritual harvest continues. John 4:37-38.” Kyla - LFGC YOUTH LEADER/MENTOR
“His love for God. It's all about God or nothing. There is no grey area when it comes to preaching. He does not please man when sharing the Word of God. I love his heart for people; always willing to reach out and help others. I love his sense of humour and he never places himself above anyone else. He understands people and where they come from.” Carole Meyer
“I met Louwtjie as a colleague in the Police Services, serving the community by arresting criminals. He was also an aggressive rugby player for the Police rugby team. Years later, to my astonishment, I heard that he was in full time ministry. Now serving the Lord and saving souls. It is a privilege to be a member of his congregation.” Victor Meyer
“He lived selflessly prioritized people in his life with love and compassion and by The Spirit he preaches and spread the Word and becomes a True Friend in Christ.” Rita Clarke
“Louwtjie does intense studying of the Word. He is very serious about the Word, and his passion and love for the Lord is visible, no matter where he goes. His messages are always confirmed by scripture. Louwtjie loves studying and preaching about the end times. He has a big heart for the less fortunate people and won't hesitate to give his last dime to somebody.” Talieta & Tony Haward
“Louwtjie is a man of God, fond of His Word, bringing it in Truth. Obedient and Loves the Lord and his people. Good Shepherd that takes care of his sheep.“ Maria Black
“Pastor Louwtjie ...a spiritual father teacher and shepherd. He was ordained by God Himself to be a pastor for a time such as this. He is not only a great teacher on the end times, but also imparts deep revelations received from the Holy Spirit Himself. All of us have a deep, deep love for this man of God.” Zelda Slabber
