THE REMNANT: A PEOPLE SET APART FOR THE TRUE LIGHT by stella ashworth
Throughout history, God has always preserved a remnant, men and women who remain faithful when compromise is convenient, who refuse to sell truth for acceptance, and who choose obedience over applause.
They are not always visible, nor are they celebrated by the systems of this world, yet they are known by Heaven. They are watchful, discerning, and set apart.
This remnant lives with their eyes fixed on the True Light, Jesus Christ. In every generation, God positions them among the masses, not to blend in, but to stand as signposts pointing the way home.
While others are distracted by illusions, false teachings, and man-made doctrines, the remnant sees clearly. They test every spirit, weigh every word against Scripture, and refuse to bow to anything that exalts itself above the knowledge of God.
They understand that many are called, but few are chosen, not because God withholds grace, but because few are willing to pay the price of surrender.
The chosen are those who deny themselves daily, who take up their cross without negotiation, and who carry the Word of God not merely in their hands, but hidden deep within their hearts.
Their lives are living epistles, read by all, shaped by intimacy with God rather than approval from people. The remnant is not ruled by systems, trends, or fear-driven narratives. They are not manipulated by worldly structures designed to dilute truth or silence conviction.
Their allegiance is clear. They live close to God, anchored in prayer, rooted in Scripture, and led by the Holy Spirit. Because of this closeness, they cannot be easily deceived. They recognize the Shepherd’s voice and they do not follow another.
Though often misunderstood, resisted, or even rejected, the remnant remains steadfast. They carry a holy resolve: to stand when others fall away, to speak truth when silence is safer, and to reflect Christ in a darkened world.
God has always worked through such a people and He is doing so again. The remnant may be few, but they are powerful, not by might, nor by influence, but by the Spirit of the Living God.
“So then, at this present time there is a remnant chosen by grace.” Romans 11:5
“Many are called, but few are chosen.” Matthew 22:14
"I have hidden Your word in my heart that I might not sin against You.” Psalm 119:11
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Romans 12:2
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10:27
“They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” John 17:16
My dear friends in Christ, take heart and stand firm. You are not alone, nor are you forgotten. Remain faithful, stay watchful, and keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith.
God is strengthening His remnant for such a time as this.
