When the New Jerusalem Descends by Stella Ashworth

When the new jerusalem descends By Stella Ashworth

New Jerusalem Descending From Heaven
Behold, I Am Coming Quickly

There will come a day when the Heavens shall tremble. When the old world fades and the proud fall silent. When the weight of eternity breaks through the skies, and the Glory of God fills the wondering eyes.

Not built by the hands of mortal men, not fashioned by kingdoms that rise and fall again, but descending in splendour, prepared from above, the dwelling of God, the fulfilment of Love.

Behold! The New Jerusalem comes down! No earthly throne, no fading crown. No tears to be hidden, no sorrow to bear, for the presence of God shall be everywhere.

The former things shall pass away. The night shall surrender to everlasting day. The scars of the ages, the anguish, the pain, shall never rise to trouble again.

The graves that once silenced the voices of men, the tears that fell in the darkness back then. The hearts that were shattered, the lives torn apart, shall be healed by the One who knows every heart.

For the first Heaven and earth shall have passed from sight, and God shall create all things new in His might. No curse shall remain, no death shall prevail, no darkness shall enter, no evil assail.

And He shall wipe every tear from their eyes. What a promise of glory! What a hope that shall rise! The God who created the heavens and sea, shall dwell with His people eternally.

No temple of stone shall contain His great name, no sun shall be needed to kindle its flame. For the Lamb is its lamp, and the Lord is its light, and His Glory shall banish the remnants of night.

The gates shall stand open, no fear shall remain, no enemy entering, no sorrow, no pain. The river of life shall flow pure and bright, from the throne of the Lamb, in eternal light.

And all that was broken shall never return, the fires of refinement have finished their burn. The kingdoms of earth, with their splendour and pride, shall fade like a shadow when truth is unveiled.

For what is a crown that will crumble to dust? What is a kingdom that fails those who trust? What is the glory that time can destroy, compared with the presence of everlasting joy?

O, New Jerusalem, descend in Your splendour! Let Heaven's great mystery before us unfold. Let every false refuge be stripped of its power, let the saints stand prepared for that glorious hour.

For this is no dream that shall perish with time, no fable of hope, no imagined design. The Alpha, Omega, the First and the Last, Has promised a future where death is surpassed.

And He who has spoken shall surely fulfil, not the strength of a man, nor the force of his will, but the Word of the Living God shall stand, unshaken forever, eternal, unplanned by man.

So let the old order give way to the new. Let faith hold fast to what God says is true. Let the weary keep watch, let the faithful endure, for the promises of God are steadfast and sure.

And when all is finished, when history is done, when the final victory belongs to the Son, when the former things vanish, forever erased, we shall behold His Glory, His Kingdom, His face.

No more separation. No more goodbye. No more asking the question, “Lord, why?” No more striving for things that decay and depart, for God Himself shall dwell with us, heart to heart.

And there, in His presence, our souls shall proclaim The Holiness, Majesty, power of His name. The redeemed shall rejoice, and eternity sing, In the Glorious Presence of Jesus, our King.

The old has passed away. The new has come. The final battle has been overcome. The tears are no more. The curse has been severed. And the dwelling of God shall be with His people forever.

So lift up your eyes, you who long for that day. The things of this world shall not always remain. For the One on the throne has declared it is true:

“Behold, I make all things new.”

And when the New Jerusalem descends from above, the earth shall be filled with the presence of Love. A new Heaven. A new earth. No death. No end.

God with His people. Forever. Amen.
