Without Love, we have nothing - stella ashworth
Jesus taught that He did not come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. He emphasized that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind, and to love others as He has loved us. By this, He said, all people would know that we are His disciples.
Love is the foundation of all things. Love heals, restores, forgives, and conquers because God Himself is love.
His love was so profound that He sent His only Son to die for us on the Cross, so that we might be forgiven of our sins and reconciled to Him.
It is all about love: how we love one another, how we lay down our lives for others, how we encourage and lift up the fallen, how we clothe those who are cold, feed the hungry, and forgive those who have wronged us. When we do these things, we do them for Him.
Following Christ is not about grand gestures, fame, or showcasing our deeds to the world. It is about the small, consistent acts of kindness that make a profound difference in the lives of others.
It is about love, compassion, forgiveness, and advancing the Kingdom of God. Without these virtues, it is impossible to truly know God. To love is to know Him. When our faith is put into action, it manifests as love.
Conversely, when we harden our hearts, our prayers are hindered. How can we claim to love God if we harbor hatred toward our brother? Without love, we have nothing.
My dear friends in Christ, I encourage you to look within your hearts and invite the Holy Spirit to work in you. We are entering a season where the world desperately needs love and a message of hope. Let us share that message of love—the message of Jesus Christ.
“If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-5 (NIV)
